Shrewsbury Town have signed left-back Nathanael Ogbeta from Manchester City on an 18-month deal.
The 19-year-old, who can also play at centre-back, had been with Premier League side City since the age of 10.
England Under-20 international Ogbeta is yet to make his senior club debut, but has made 12 EFL Trophy appearances for City’s Under-23s.
He is Town’s fourth January signing following David Davis, and loan men Harry Chapman and Matthew Pennington.
But the club have announced that they will not be extending the contract of defenders Charlie Daniels and Marc Pugh.
Both arrived in October on short-term deals until the end of January.
They will follow Australian defender Matt Millar who has already ended his short-term loan to return down under to Newcastle Jets.
