Cristiano Ronaldo earns nearly $1.25 million for everyone of his Instagram posts, making him the richest sports star on social media.
It comes as little surprise to see Ronaldo top of the 2021 social media rich list, considering the Juventus striker is the most followed man on the planet.
The five time Ballon d’Or winner was already the most followed person on Instagram and last week earned the record of being the first person to have over 500 million followers across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
So it perhaps comes as little surprise that, according to Bonus Finder, the former Real Madrid star earns $1,247,157.70 per post on his account.
That means that one post a week could actually beat his reported wage of $34 million per year, and he isn’t the only footballer at the top of the list.
Footballers make up 18 of the top 20 places on the list, with only NBA stars LeBron James and Steph Curry breaking up the total domination of the world’s biggest sport.
25th placed NFL star Odell Beckham Jr is the highest placed sports person not from those sports whilst 27th placed Serena Williams is the top earning woman on the list.
Tom Brady was being named as sports G.O.A.T by some, following his seventh Super Bowl ring, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is down in 37th on the list.
