Nigeria’s representatives in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League, Enyimba and Plateau United have intensified preparations for the competition which starts across the continent this weekend.
Plateau United will host Tanzanian side, Simba SC, while Enyimba travel to Ouagadougou to face Burkina Faso side Rahimo FC in the first leg of the Preliminary Round.
With the new season of the Nigeria Professional Football League only starting December 6, both sides have been preparing for their games with friendlies and participation in pre-season tournaments.
Both teams met in the semi-finals of the Governor Ikpeazu Pre-Season Tournament, with the Aba-based side emerging victorious, before going on the lift the trophy after seeing off Abia Warriors in the final on Saturday.
