Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has ruled out Napoli Striker, Victor Osimhen, and Club Brugge forward, Emmanuel Dennis, from the country’s return leg of the 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Freetown on Tuesday.

Rohr has also revealed that exciting Villarreal winger, Samuel Chukwueze, is a doubt for the game after picking up a groin injury in the country’s 4-4 draw against the Leone Stars on Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.

Osimhen who picked up a shoulder injury in the first encounter which rules him out of the return leg was seen in an arm sling at the teams’ practice over the weekend.

The player is billed to return to Naples to continue his treatment at the Italian club.

“The two players I took out (Leon Balogun and Samuel Chukwueze) were injured. Balogun had a little knock but he is okay. He did a little training with the team, it’s not painless but he will be okay,” Rohr told the press in Benin.

“Osimhen is probably going to be out because he had a shoulder injury, I think it is going to be very difficult for him to be there in Freetown. Dennis had a little injury in the last training session, his ankle is swollen and he cannot play, he can only run, and Chukwueze has a pain in the groin and could only work in the practise today but we hope to get him back for the next game.”
