If it were left to football expert Gert Verheyen, Club Brugge should do away with David Okereke because he has not justified the eight million Euros they splashed on him to join from Italian club Spezia.
After netting nine goals last season for Club Brugge, Okereke has struggled for goals and playing time at the Belgian champions this term. The 23-year-old Okereke has only scored once in nine appearances this season.
Charles de Ketelaere shone for Club Brugge as top striker in a comfortable 3-0 home win over Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Champions League last night.
‘It is about time to do away with Krmencik and Okereke”, Verheyen said. “This team needs to grow. The best option as deep striker is Charles De Ketelaere. Because on an individual basis he is the best of everyone who has already played there. And because he makes the team play better football, with his technique and playing with the team.
