Nigerian defender, Brian Idowu, has reportedly agreed a permanent deal with Russian Premier League club Khimki, where he’s on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 28-year-old’s contract with Lokomotiv expires at the end of the 2020/21 season with the club not willing to renew his contract.
With just six months left on his Lokomotiv contract, the on-loan Russian-born defender is free to open negotiations with other clubs.

Idowu has been very impressive for Khimki in the 17 league games he played and was on target in back-to-back games against Spartak Moscow and Rostov.
According to championat.com, the left-back will pen a permanent deal with Khimki from June.

“Defender Brian Idowu agreed with Khimki on a full-fledged transition from June 2021,” the website wrote.
“The Championship was informed about this by a source familiar with the situation. The footballer will move to the Moscow Region club as a free agent, as his contract with Lokomotiv is valid until the end of May this year.”
Idowu’s last appearance for Nigeria was in the goalless friendly game against Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba in November 2018.
