Judges Wives Association of Imo State, has offered thanksgiving to God for His goodwill, mercy and guidance for keeping and strengthening them throughout the year despite challenges of security.

The thanksgiving service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, Aladimma, Owerri, on Sunday.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the church service, President of the association, July Njoku, said the group took the measure to “give thanks and glory to God for His mercy and protection throughout the year and we pray for more guidance in the coming year and beyond. God has been so wonderful to us and we are happy and proud having God dictate our affairs”.

Disclosing that the association has existed for more than 30 years having over 60 active and devoted membership, the President maintained that the group has visited Ofekata Orodo Home of Deaf and Dumb to wish them well and donated items to them.

Njoku hinted that the association has the objective of bringing judges wives together to socialise and help humanity, saying the association will continue to extend kind gesture and goodwill to humanity especially to less privileged and vulnerable ones to put smiles on their faces.

In his sermon, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Innocent Orji, told Christians to always demonstrate generosity to humanity irrespective of class, origin, religion, stressing that when “Christians support the progressive of others, they will be blessed abundantly by God.
