The General Overseer of Over-comers Christian Mission, Bishop Francisca Ezeugo has admonished pastors to make obedience to the will of God a priority in their pastoral work.
She made this known during the ordination ceremony of the 21 pastors of the church held at the headquarters in Aladinma, Owerri recently.
In her advice, she reiterated that the pastors have been trained, tested and trusted hence their ordination, while disclosing that the work of the Ministry requires total obedience to God’s leading which she said is the only way to receive from God.
“People make mistakes seeking for fame, money house among others. But when you obey God according to the scripture, all things will be added to you”.
She further urged them to remain focused and trust God in performing their assignments for them to succeed in the Ministry.
According to her, the number of souls one wins for God is what counts and not the financial gains.
The wife of the late Bishop Alexander Ezeugo charged them further to imbibe the will of the cross which is the theme of the convention and look up to Christ, the Author and the Finisher of their faith.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters and the Guest Speaker at the occasion, Rev C.N.N. Nwanebo urged the pastors to take care of the flocks of Christ and noted that despite the challenges in the Ministry, victory is always assured.
He further wished them well in their new assignment and prayed for God’s Grace on them.
Speaking to newsmen, Rev. Nnamdi Akujor coordinator of the church prayer wing and the Director of Friday Miracle services, described the ordination as an integration into servanthood, stating that it’s a great privilege and honour to be ordained by God which he said will not be taken for granted. He urged them to stand by the oath they have taken and follow the footsteps of Christ as well as that of the legacy of their mentor, late bishop Alexander Ezeugo.
