Coordinator, Hope Uzodimma Governorship Election, HUGE 2023, Dr. Val Mbamara, has disclosed that the giant achievements recorded by Governor Hope Uzodimma would earn him second tenure, hence the group has been campaigning effectively for his reelection.
Mbamara, a former Commissioner and Local Government Chairman in the state, reflected that the group whose membership is comprised of timbres and calibres with rich political experience drawn from all political divides in the state was formed to mainly, solidly galvanize and mobilize for the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma to enable him consolidate his good works for the betterment of Imo State where the people find peace, joy, comfort, security, social development and economic prosperity.
Addressing members of HUGE 2023 during a meeting held at Concorde Hotel, Owerri, on Tuesday, Mbamara noted that HUGE 2023 was formed to add impetus to the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma who he mentioned has performed excellently especially in terms of road construction, rehabilitation, youth empowerment on ICT skills, education, health among others.
“We are moved by who Uzodimma is in terms of performance. We have every course to support him in the next election to make sure he sweeps the poll and then gets back there.
He is kind, conscious of the job he is doing and when you look at Owerri/Orlu, Owerri/Okigwe and Owerri/Mbaise/Umuahia Roads and so many other places, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri which is now a Federal University of Education, FMC Owerri now a Federal University Teaching Hospital (FUTH Owerri) and other numerous achievements”, he maintained.
The Coordinator posited that the Governor “is doing these good things because he is very conscious of the overall wellbeing of the people he is ruling”, saying these good deeds “show all over him and that is why we came together to back him up, mobilize to the grassroots level to conscientize them to be part of that election on November 11 2023. Imolites should support him in many ways so that no body truncates his votes”.
Mbamara who praised members for being resolute in their efforts to galvanize, mobilize people for the second mandate of Governor Hope Uzodimma, disclosed that HUGE 2023 has huge structure which he hinted is fast spreading across the nooks and crannies of Imo State.
Adding that HUGE 2023 is solidly committed to ensure that Uzodimma is reelected as Governor on November 11 2023 election being the most qualified person running for the Douglas House position, one of the founders of HUGE and former Commissioner in the state, Dr. Hon. Goddy Esom Obodo, urged other guber candidates to abide by the Charter of Equity endorsed by Imo people which he asserted gives credence to the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Obodo affirmed that “HUGE 2023 is a gathering of people who love Governor Hope Uzodimma. Who want to say that he should continue. We are here to solidify and strategize how to plan how 2023 is going to be a work over to make sure he emerges.
Imo people have said yes to his 2nd term in office as governor through Charter of Equity and any person fighting the APC candidate is not being honest to the Charter of Equity.
All hands should be on deck to get Uzodimma back to Douglas House in the forthcoming guber poll in Imo State”.
