Baring last minute changes, all is set for the massive defection of major stakeholders of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State.

This political tidal wave may, according to political pundits, break the ranks of the PDP’s governorship candidate in the State, Sen Samdaddy Anyanwu.

Many believe that this massive defection of the PDP bigwigs to All Progressive Congress (APC) will strongly shake Sen. Sam Daddy’s Political Campaign Organization, Divine Mandate Movement (DMM), which he been has been nurturing since 2019.

Prominent among those who will lead the defection is said to include Engineer Ikenna Elezieanya, representing Owerri Federal Constituency; Chief Jerry Alagboso representing Orlu/ Orsu and Oru East, Hon Henry Nwawuba representing Mbaitolu/Ikeduru Constituencies at the Federal House Representatives.

Others include Dr. Perry, Hon Bruno Ukoha; a former Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) Member who represented Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency. Also included the cross-over is a former PDP Chairman of the Owerri-Municipal Council, Deacon Paul Ajunwa, Popularly known as “Ishiopi” among many others.

It is informed that most of the decampees will be joining the new bride with their follows at the ‘Heroes Square’ on Monday, where the reception of the new lieutenants will hold.

However, the new realignment will expectedly boast the reelection bid of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the November 11, 2023 guber election in the State.
