Ahead of the November governorship election coming up in Imo state, The Peoples Democratic Party is set to hold its governorship primary election on Wednesday April 12
Newsecho gathered from a statement released by the party’s state Publicity secretary Collins Opurozor, the primary election will take place at the party’s secretariat in Owerri.
According to a source, the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) is set to emerge as a consensus candidate according to the agreement by the party in the State and approved by the National working committee of the party.
It would be recalled that few weeks ago, the Former governor of Imo State Chief Emeka Ihedioha who was also a contender withdrew from the race after the party’s resolution of a consensus candidate.
