The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, Awka Field Office, has assured Anambra residents of availability of Petroleum Products during the Christmas and New Year celebration.
Also in Imo, the Association of Imo Petroleum Marketers and Dealers has assured of the availability of petroleum products to the residents of the state during the yuletide.
The Operations Controller, DPR, Awka Field Officer, Mr. Okiemute Akpomudjere, gave the assurance on Saturday while briefing journalists on the work model of the organization in Anambra State.
Mr. Akpomudjere noted that with the recorded products supply to Anambra State over the past months, there would be more than enough to go round during the yuletide season, adding that the usual panic that comes with the period was not necessary as intensive strategies have been put in place by the organization to achieve greater result.
The Operations Controller, who unveiled that with the recorded fifty-four trucks of products, totaling over two-point-five million liters coming into Anambra State on daily basis, the issue of scarcity is nipped in the bud.
He also declared that the department is following government stipulations on siting of liquefied petroleum gas plants inside a gas station, observing that the laws on critical safety distances must be followed to avoid hazards like fire outbreak.
Akpomudjere also noted that the organization places high premium on quality product marketing, regulation, supply and sales, assuring consumers in Anambra State of optimum service delivery.
Also in Owerri, chairman of the association, Dr. Chidiebere Michael Okoroafor during the 2020 End-of-Year General Assembly of the association, held in Owerri, Thursday.
Promising to treat their customers with respect at all times, Secretary of the association, Hon. Chijioke Ahumaraeze and others, urged government to always provide adequate petroleum products to them to enable them serve their customers well.
They also promised never to sell above official price.
