Young Progressives Party (YPP) has described the emergence of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo- Iwuala as Director General, World Trade Organization (WTO), as a big plus to Africa.
YPP through its State Woman Leader, Amb. Chika Uju, in a chat with our reporter in Owerri, weekend, said that Africa would benefit a lot from Ngozi Okonjo- Iwuala’s global position.
Uju said that Ngozi Okonjo- Iwuala is a patriotic and a brilliant African, who has contributed in no small measure to boosting the economy of Africa particularly that of Nigeria.
According to the State YPP Woman Leader, “Ngozi Okonjo- Iwuala deserves the current position she is occupying. She will help a lot to improve the world economy especially that of Africa and Nigeria”.
“She had earlier helped Nigeria to offset some of her teething global debts. She had also assisted to improve Nigeria’s economy when she served as finance minister. She is a substance and a blessing to Africa and the world at large considering her intellectual economic prowess and capacity”.
