Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has commiserated with the Anyaehie dynasty of Nkwerre over the demise of late Chief Sir, Godwin Onwuatogu Anyaehie, uncle to Bar. Nnamdi Anyaehie, chief of staff, government house, Owerri.

Governor Uzodimma expressed his condolences Saturday during the funeral service of the late patriarch at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Nkwerre in Nkwerre local government area of Imo State.

The Governor noted that despite the fact that the deceased died at 85, death at whatever age can be painful because of the vacuum created, but however enjoined the Anyaehie family to take solace in the fact that the deceased left worthy legacies behind. He prayed God to grant his Soul eternal repose.

He appreciated Nkwerre people for their support to the government and prayed God for the strength and wisdom to serve Imo and not disappoint the people.

Chief of Staff, Government House, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie in his tribute to his late uncle, described him as an epitome of humility, kindness personified and lamented that his demise has created an indelible void because he was the last titan of the great siblings of Anyaehie dynasty first generation stock.

Officiating ministers included the Most Rev. Dr. David Onuoha , Archbishop of Owerri Province, Rt. Rev. Benjamin Okeke, Bishop of Orlu Bishops Godson Ukanwa, Emma Maduwike, Chukwuma Opara, Edward Osuegbu and G.N Chukwuonye; of Isiala Mbano, Ikeduru, Owerri, Okigwe, and Oru respectively.
