The Labour party Candidate for Owerri Federal constituency, Hon. Sir Tochukwu Chinedum Okere has been declared winner of the last Saturday’s National Assembly elections for Owerri North/Municipal/ Owerri West Federal constituency
Okere who hails from Obibiezene in Owerri North LGA of Imo state defeated the incumbent Hon. Ikenna Elezianya of the Peoples Democratic party PDP.
In his appreciation message to the people of Owerri North/ Municipal/Owerri West Federal constituency, Okere expressed thanks to God and the electorate who he said took pains to vote for him in this challenging times said he remains committed to people oriented leadership and expect great work in the 10th Assembly.
Earlier, the banker turned politician said the issue of God fatherism will be a thing of the past as he promised to return governance to the people of the constituency and thrive on an open door policy where the choice of the masses will be taken into cognisance.
He further promised to revitalise the various sectors to give a quality representation.
He also promised to set up two constituency Offices in the State inorder to reach out to the various needs of the people.
