The Anambra State governor-elect, Prof. Charles Soludo has said that he will build a robust relationship with the Federal Government and synergize with South East Governors to attract developmental projects to the state.

“I will also sustain the struggle for the welfare of the Igbo race, ‘’ Soludo said this at his country home, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area (LGA) while interacting with journalists.
According to him there is a need to cooperate with the Federal Government to seek ways of addressing infrastructure deficit in the state.

He added that even though he was elected primarily to serve the people of the state, he would be willing to network with his counterparts in the zone in finding solutions to issues affecting it.
On the seemingly silence of the All Progress Congress (APC) candidate in the polls, Sen Andy Uba to concede victory, he expressed optimism that at the fullness of time, he would join others in congratulating him on the well-deserved victory.

Prof. Soludo, then, reminded politicians that politics should not be seen as a ‘do or die affair’, pointing out that the state had a peculiar spirit of brotherliness after every political contest.

“It noticeable that after politics, we socialize and work together. You see us attending wedding and funeral ceremonies, throwing banters, hugging ourselves. But before the election, the mood was that of enmity and war. Soon, you will see us the contestants coming together for the sake of our dear state.’’

The Governor-elect acknowledged that he had been receiving telephone calls and messages for both serving and former political office holders, diplomats, religious leaders, captains of industry, leaders of associations and unions congratulating him on his victory.
