The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, Senator Michael Ama Nnachi (PhD), has commenced inspection tour of some project sites he attracted to his constituency.
The inspection tour which commenced from Itim Edda internal roads in Afikpo South Local Government area of the State, also included water project sites, other internal roads in some parts of Afikpo North, Afikpo south and Ivo LGA respectively.
Sen. Ama Nnachi, who expressed happiness with the level of progress in the ongoing projects, said he embarked on the inspection tour to ascertain the level of progress in the various project sites.
He commended the contractors for quality delivery and urged them to do more to ensure speedy completion of the projects, for the benefit of his constituents.
As he toured the project sites which included roads, solar lights and water projects, a large portion of his constituents were seen happy and hailing him, calling him names as “Ike Edda global”, “Silent achiever” and the “People’s Senator”
The first port of call was in Itim Edda, where he inspected the Itim Edda internal roads and the multi million naira Itim Water project which has over 75 percent completion.
Other sites inspected included the asphalted Ndechima road, Amaoso Edda as well as the solar powered street light in Ndechima Amaoso, Afikpo South LGA, also, he inspected the rehabilitation and construction of 2 km Ndibe Ugwuegu internal road in Afikpo North LGA and the solar powered street light project respectively.
While inspecting the asphalted Ugwuegu internal road, Sen Nnachi expressed satisfaction for the job done.
The lawmaker, also inspected the rehabilitation of 3km Road in Ishiagu Ivo LGA and the rehabilitation and construction of Amaeze Amaeke Road ( 1km) in Ivo LGA.
While inspecting the roads at Ishiagu, he as well commended the contractor for doing a solid job on the drainage system, others included solar powered street light and powered bore hole project in Ivo Town.
Leaders of some of the communities visited, including Mr. Noble Kalu Isu, Hon. Godwin Udeakaji, Chief Patrick Otu, Rt. Hon. Oliver Osi, commended the Senator for his quality representation and described him as a project legislature, unassuming leader whose penchant to attract dividends of democracy to his people speaks volumes.
