The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Engr (Dr) Michael Arimanwa has said that proper knowledge in health and safety measures will boost productivity in workplaces.
Arimanwa made this assertion in his address during his investiture as Fellows of Occupation Safety and Health Association” (OSHA), United Kingdom, Nigeria region at auditorium of the institution yesterday
The Rector described OSHA as an internationally recognized professional body, meant for those interested in health, safety, security and environmental sector, and for people in related fields.
“Therefore, for those of you who want to have great careers in health and safety, OSHA is here for you, especially in this period that COVID-19 is ravaging the whole nation. You need to be armed with the proper knowledge in health and safety and that will help to boost your productivity at your various workplaces.
Other principal officers of the institution who were invested fellows included the Deputy Rector (Admin), Dr Mrs Anthonia Nwosu, the Registrar, Mrs. Eucharia Anuna, the Bursar, Mr. V.N Anyanwuocha and the Librarian, Dr. Chris Enyia.
