Umueze 1, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, was agog, weekend, as a famous business tycoon and politician, Chief Tony Chukwu’s daughter, Chinyere, traditionally married her heartthrob, an indigene of Edo State.
The traditional marriage which took place at the palatial home of Chukwu, had Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo State), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), Dave Umahi (Ebony State) and Mala Buni (Yobe State) in attendance.
Prof Placid Njoku, (deputy governor, Imo State), Senator Rochas Okorocha; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah and Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Paul Emeziem were also there.
The traditional marriage was made more colorful by traditional dance troupe, live band and fireworks.
Tony Chukwu, who wished his daughter and her husband a happy marriage filled with fruitfulness, appreciated all who graced the memorable ceremony.
