Port Harcourt
A business man, Collins Ogundu has raised the alarm over the refusal of the police to release his wife, Dalepel Ogundu.

Ogundu said his wife was arrested on November 25, 2020, in his stead by the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Team led by CSP Alex Ureze, over a land matter.

He said the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, had since December 2, 2020, granted his wife bail, but said the police have refused to release her.

Addressing journalists, counsel for Ogundu, Chief Cosmas IK Enweluzo (SAN), stated that efforts to get the police to honour the bail had failed.

He appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu and other well meaning Nigerians, to intervene in the matter and ensure the release of his wife, who he claimed is hypertensive.
