Some unidentified suspects alleged to be involved in gay activities at a hotel in Ifitedunu, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State have been arrested by the police operatives attached to Ukpo Police Station over suspected gay activities.
The suspects, mostly men of different age brackets where arrested following a tip off information from one of the workers.
An indigene of the community, who pleaded anonymity, explained that homosexuals were holding a party at the facility when trouble ensued, leading to the invitation of policemen from Ukpo Police Division.
Pictures obtained in connection with the incident revealed that the suspects attempted fleeing from all directions in the hotel when policemen arrived, leading to destruction of ceilings, roof and other items in the hotel.
It was gathered that the suspects were taken to the police anti-cult office in Ukpo for further investigations.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra Police Command Mr. Haruna Mohammed said report of the incident has not come to his desk as at time of filing this report.
