Former vice president of Nigeria and 2023 presidential candidate of the people’s democratic party, Atiku Abubakar has said that Peter Obi, who is the presidential candidate of labour party did not consult him before joining the labour party.
Atiku Abubakar who made the remark during his interview with the Arise television as captured in this video,
stated that Peter Obi only told him about labour party 3 days after he had already joined the party.
His response came following a question asked by the host on whether he would have picked Peter Obi again as his running mate ahead of the 2023 general elections if he had not left the people’s democratic party.
You will recall that Peter Obi who was one of the major contenders of the PDP’s presidential ticket defected from the people’s democratic party just few days to the primary election. Peter Obi joined the labour party and emerged as its presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
