The PDP State House of Assembly Screening Committee Chairman, Chief Egbunwa Ndudinaka, says the screening exercise was hiccup free given the unity, formidability and cordiality reigning supreme in the party in the state. He stated this when he spoke to journalists in Owerri at the PDP State Secretariat Owerri on last.
Ndudinaka who noted that the essence of the screening of aspirants prior to primary election was to avoid litigation against the party after electoral victory, mentioned that waiver for new entrants or returnees (decampees) will largely be determined by the national body of the party.
He added that “the screening looks at papers and qualifications of contestants because we do not want litigations after electoral victory. The screening exercise went without hiccups; I give thumbs up to aspirants for conducting themselves mannerly and orderly while the exercise lasted.
