The Abia State chapter of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has described the PDP-led administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as a failure.
The party made this assertion through the member representing Aba South in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Obinna Ichita, during a meeting of the party held in Umuahia.
Ichita, who was announced as the new leader of APGA in Abia by the party’s State Chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, lamented that his immediate constituency, Aba South and other parts of the States were in deep underdevelopment.
According to the legislator, roads in Aba and other parts of the States as well as non-payment of workers salaries had allegedly become the order of the day in Abia.
He dismissed the defection of Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke and Hon. Abraham Oba of Aba Central in Abia State House of Assembly who detected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) respectively, maintaining that their exits won’t affect his party in any way.
On his new position as the new leader of the party in Abia State, Hon. Ichita promised that APGA would maintain checks and balances in Abia as allowed by the Nigerian constitution, even as he sounded that his party would remain stronger.
Chairman of APGA in Abia, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere explained that Ichita was named the leader of Abia APGA for being the highest office holder of the party in the State.
