To promote peace, justice, equality, social development, economic prosperity and progress in the society, APC candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency in the forthcoming election, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Chukwugozie Nwachukwu Omeogo and a technocrat and philanthropist, Prince Henry Oluaoha, have advocated women inclusion into politics, governance and other leadership positions.
They made the advocacy while reacting to the awards of excellence bestowed on them by National Council for Women’s Societies (NCWS) Nigeria, Imo State branch, during its launching of ultra- modern Secretariat Complex Conference and Grand Awards, held at Links Hotels, Owerri, last week.
Stating that he will continue to project the cause of women positively to enhance society growth, Omeogo said his recognition is deserving because the award came from a worthy group of women who came together to seek for better living opportunities for women and girls irrespective of class, religion and tribe.
According to Omeogo, “the award on me is deserving, coming from a worthy women organization. The recognition means that I’m good, progressive minded and positive to realities. I promise that I will continue to do good to humanity. In fact, I’m naturally good. The people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East should see me worthy to represent them well at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in 2023 and give me their mandate. I assure them that I will represent them effectively and fairly thereby attract more democratic gains”.
With Prince Henry Oluaoha vowing not to renege in given back goodies to the society. “I was honored by NCWS Imo State branch because of my unalloyed contributions to the growth of humanity especially women and I will always give back to the society to help advance better living opportunities. Government at all levels should see women as great assets to their families, kindred, village and the community and give them chance to explore”.
Speaking earlier, President, Imo State branch of NCWS, Lady Stella Ngozi Anyacho, reflected that the group had tried its best to speak for the rights of women and girls, urging people in leadership positions to help women to grow even financially to enable them advance better living opportunities for their families and contribute towards society elevation.
