A well grounded grassroot pressure group under the aegies of “Obedient Ambassadors Of Nigeria (OAN), during the weekend held a consultative meeting and created political structures that will develop an action plan, which will help in galvanizing support to ensure landslide victory for Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in the forthcoming Presidential Election. Our Correspodent who covered the meeting proceedings report that salient issues about the group and how to propagate the good news about His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi made the highpoint of agendas of the meeting, while the primary objective and mission of the group was stated.
Speaking shortly after the meeting at its headquarters, Umuzocha Plaza, Awka, the National Chairman Obiedient Ambassadors Chief Vincent Ezekwuzie said the meeting was borne from the desire to see Mr Obi, the Labour Party Candidate as the most creditable persons who can alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians. “We are Nigerians who came together to support Peter Obi to actualize his dream of becoming the president of Nigeria. Looking at the challenges the masses are facing today in the country and comparing these issues with the presidential candidate, it is necessary that Obi’s antecedents speaks for him and shows how capable he is to alleviate the problems”.
“Obidient Ambassadors encompasses all Nigerians who deserved change and that is why we have taken the bull by the horn to ensure victory at the polls”, he added. Secretary of the group, Lady Elizabeth Ezimuzor noted that the pressure group is borne out of mind to stand with Peter Obi becoming the president and which we all know from all indication that if he assumes the office things will drastically change for good and our prayers which we long awaited for will be answered. “Look at the way things are happening, devaluation of naira and increase in dollar rate, insecurity, high increase in commodity market and so on.
We need someone like him to harness these situations around.” Earlier speaking, Vice Chairman Mr Obiora Ebunilor from Adazi-nnukwu expressed happiness over total support for Peter Obi. He called on Nigerians to reject voting buying, and vote in Peter Obi as the most capable candidate among the contestants that can pilot the affairs of the country from the shackles of maladministration. However, the Obedient Ambassadors of Nigeria has its constituted National/State Executives; the group is left with the formation of local government executives, to complete the structuring process. Present during the meeting were some members from all political parties who are ‘Obidient’ and interest groups in Anambra.
