Anambra state executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by Mr Ndubuisi Nwobu has stated that there is no room for disgruntled elements whose efforts are geared towards thwarting the progress of the party.
The reinstated Nwobu-led executive, by the court of Appeal, Abuja have also validated their support for Mr Valentine Ozigbo, who emerged as the party candidate from a primary election conducted by the party, against Senator Ugochukwu Uba, who had emerged from a parallel primary election.
Nwobu who briefed journalists on Wednesday at the state party Secretariat in Awka said the Court of Appeal judgment has totally put to rest issues about who is the authentic candidate of the party.
According to him, “for some time now PDP has been passing through turbulent times in the states occasioned by the activities of some disgruntled elements whose only stock in trade is merchandising and paid agents whose efforts is geared towards truncating the efforts of the party. These nefarious activities of these disgruntled elements something they have perfected as a way of life which started as way back as 2002”.
“But to the glory of God the coming into place of this leadership in Anambra state under my leadership has greatly abated the efforts of these disgruntled elements to thwart our focus. Be it as it may they have not changed their ways and patterns but we thank the good Lord that their efforts the use the judiciary to emasculate and once again thwart the party towards achieving power has been once more curtailed through the instrumentality of the judiciary”.
“You will all agree with me that the judgment of the appellant court delivered in Federal Appeal Court Abuja on Friday the 30th July was very resounding in condemning the actions of the FCT High Court headed by Justice Adeniyi who knowing fully well that he ought not get himself entangled in a matter that is completely out of his territorial jurisdiction willfully got himself entangled with reasons best known to him”, he added.
Chief Nwobu while expressing appreciation to the appellant court, BOT members, national and state assembly, national and state leadership including local government and ward chairmen for being resolute and steadfast in ensuring that once more that the wishes of Anambrarian who are PDP supporters has come to play at this moment.
Adding, I want to reassure all Anambrarian particularly our party leadership, members and with our determination join forces with the candidate of the party in the person of Chief Valentine Ozigbo to ensure victory for our party come Nov 6, 2021.
