As APC prepares for the Saturday Ngor-Okpala State Constituency bye- election, Governor Hope Uzodimma, has said that loyal members who keenly contested in the primary election with the party’s candidate, Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu, would be immensely rewarded with political appointments for demonstrating commitment to the party and support to the flag bearer.
Uzodimma gave the hint while addressing the leaders and members of APC during a stakeholders meeting held at the party’s secretariat Owerri on Monday. The meeting was attended by prominent men and women in Imo APC who donated huge amount of money to the party for the Saturday election.
Uzodimma, who disclosed that one of the loyal contestants, Hon. Sylvester Chidi Eke, who fairly supported the candidate shortly after the primary election, was made Director General, APC Campaign Train Ngor- Okpala Bye- Election. “APC will reward faithful members and those who contested in the APC Ngor- Okpala Bye-Election primaries and remained supportive to the party’s flagbearer. We will market the party and make it attractive to Ngor- Okpala people with our remarkable achievements”.
While calling on APC members to remain united and committed, the Governor assured that APC will win the election freely and fairly given the reason that the administration’s infrastructural achievement will endear Ngor- Okpala electorate to vote for the party in the election. “INEC had introduced electronic voting system that encourages free and credible election. We shall only relax after casting our votes and winning the election”.
Mentioning that efforts are being geared to resolve internal crisis in the party to be able to emerge victorious in the Ngor- Okpala Bye-Election.
APC State Chairman, Hon. Macdonald Ebere, advised members to continue to uphold unity and steadfastness.
He appealed to Ngor- Okpala electorate to see reasons with the APC candidate in the election and give him their mandate.
DG, Campaign Train for Blyden Amajirionwu, Hon. Sylvester Chidi Eke, described the APC flag bearer as most qualified candidate for the election.
