The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Basil Ejidike, on Tuesday, said the ongoing national registration and revalidation exercise will enable the party to win the November 6, 2021 governorship election in the state.
Ejidike, who spoke to journalists in a press conference at the party’s headquarters, Zik Avenue Awka, urged the party faithful and those who are willing to join the party, to avail themselves of the opportunity provided by the exercise.
He said that the state chapter was happy with the exercise because it came at the right time, when Ndi-Anambra have already made up their mind to join the national party.
He added that it would also boost membership mobilization by capturing those who had attained the voting age, ahead of Anambra election and the 2023 general election respectively. He said that the objective of the membership registration is to grow and strengthen the party from the grassroots.
According to him, the democratic process was important to the party in its quest to deliver its mandate of good governance to all Nigerians. He urged all well meaning Ndi-Anambra to join the progressive party as this will avail them more avenues to play a part in the decision making process of the country. He disclosed that the exercise is going on smoothly across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State without any form of intimidation or harassment.
