Lagos based lawyer commends Uzodimma on leadership

A Lagos based Lawyer and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orodo Ward B, Chief Barr. Morgan Igwe has lauded the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma (Onwa) for his ability in running the affairs of Imo State well and his strategic steps in tackling the challenges in governance.

Chief Igwe made this revelation at the weekend while chatting with the media on the ways forward for the state.

He noted that the mantra of Uzodinma’s administration, that is Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery are veritable tools to drive the state to greater heights to enable Imolites feel the impact of governance.

He hailed Uzodinma in his efforts in paying workers their salaries and emoluments and then enjoined the workers to partner with him that he meant well for them. Also on pensions, the lawyer urged the retirees yet to receive their pensions to be patient that they wouldn’t be left out by government since majority of them (the senior citizens have received their’s).

Chief Igwe thanked government in bringing Julius Berger Plc. to handle the roads leading to Orlu and Okigwe adding that road constructions are done in phases as other roads would still benefit from the governor’s largesse on road construction.

Speaking on the mass transit scheme the erudite lawyer commended the Imo government for feeling the plight of Imo workers which made it launch the mass transit scheme of Toyota coaster fleet to help in the movement of Imo workers to their places of work and back.

According to him, workers have cause to smile as the incumbent governor has done them well in making their movement easy.

Igwe said that the harmonious relationship between the governor and the former deputy governor of Imo State, His Excellency Prince Eze Madumere is commendable pointing out that with the synergy Imo would be better. He called on the people to rally round Senator Uzodinma whom he described as a square peg in a square hole
Igwe noted Uzodinma’s expertise in doing things and added that he appointed a good team of commissioners and Special Advisers but expressed his pleasure over Uzodinma’s recognition of the Mbaitoli people in his cabinet.

He maintained that appointment of Barr. Kingsley Ononuju as commissioner for commerce and investment, Engr. Innocent Ikpamezie MD OCDA, Ikenna Nlemigbo SA on Youths, Wilson Nwafor on Recreation and parks, and Chinonye Agbogbuo on Entertainment is a sign that the governor has regards for the people of Mbaitoli, he concluded.
