The people Ogu Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo council of Rivers state having suffered series of attacks and sometime killings of their citizens could no longer bear it as they cried out to Rivers state government and security agencies for protection.
Addressing Journalists in a gathering at the palace of their traditional ruler, the Ogu divisional council of chiefs (ODCC)and their natives, in the presence of security operatives , narrated how Ogu citizens have either been kidnapped , killed assaulted with machete in one spot opposite the secondary school at Eteo, a neighboring community.
The chairman of the divisional rulers’ council , Chief Spiff Mica Taribo- Amgbara JP, who addressed on behalf of His Majesty,Kingh Nicholas Nimenibo said that the attack which started as far back as 2014 , reached its height on sept. 2020 with the gruesome murder of one of the community’s illustrious sons and patriot, Mr. Godknows Opuda.
Chief Taribo- Amgbara stated that on Wednesday sept. 2, 2020 a joint public announcement was issued by himself as the Oodcc Chairman and Engr. Omiebi Davids to express the community’s grief over the latest killing.
The Community said that although Rivers statement government knows about these attack, it was yet to write it formally to complain about them .
