Former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State, Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho, has supported the idea of recovering all stolen government properties from the looters.
Captain Ihenacho was fielding questions from our correspondent over the recent skirmish between Imo State Government and former governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha.
He said if there is a properly constituted Judicial Commission of Enquiry and they have looked at all the facts and concluded that those things were illegally acquired and that monies used in acquiring them belongs to the state, they should be recovered by the state.
“One of the benefit of this will be to give proper signal to those handling public office that it is not right to misuse the trust reposed on them and that if they do, there will definitely be a consequence when they leave office.
On the outcry of Okorocha that Uzodimma is being reckless in governance and not obeying court orders, Captain Ihenacho described it as a case of what goes around coming around.
“The simple analysis of the whole incident is that what goes around comes around. When he was governor he never followed due process or obeyed court orders, he went out of his way to destroy my property and that of others. He did all manner of things, so why is he complaining now about having a court order at his disposal” he enthused.
