A pressure group under the aegis of Igbo for President Solidarity Congress (IPSC) has demonstrated strong commitments and support for Professor Umeadi in actualizing his ambition for presidency of Igbo extraction in 2023.
This they showcased when they paid a courtesy visit to Professor Umeadi in his hometown at Nri, Anaocha local council where delegates from 21 local government areas of the state expressed their loyalty.
Speaking during the visit, Dr Patrick Enenuke, the South-East chairman of the group stressed that time is ripe for an Igbo man to take the mantle of leadership in Nigeria.
He also added that IPSC is working on the principle that no support for any presidential aspirant yet, but encourages every Igbo man to show interest in presidency.
Responding, Professor Umeadi thanked the group for the visit. He vehemently stated that as the former Chief judge of Anambra state, he has what it takes to restore the dilapidating state of the nation.
Other Delegates included, Mr Izuka Udoka, Anambra Secretary, Engr Steve Edekobi, Zonal coordinator IPSC, Anambra north zone, among others.
In another development, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chapter Chairmen and party stalwarts during the weekend, also visited the presidential aspirant in Nri, to endorse pledge support for his presidential ambition and promised to assist him, come 2023.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Chief Livinus Onyenwe, described Umeadi as a shining star that should be marketed to the rest of the country.
“Prof Umeadi is a quality product that would be easily marketed by APGA to the rest of the country. His status and excellent record in public service will be the selling point of the party in the race for 2023 presidency”.
