A group under the aegis of Ihitte Premier Organization has commended the outstanding performance of member representing Ihitte/Uboma Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Onyemechi Njoku Crown.
Leadership of IPO made the commendation when it led her members on a solidarity visit to Crown as part of activities that marked their 2020 end of year party.
President General of the group High Chief Cletus C. Anyanwu, in an opening remark, described Crown as a politician whose selfless service and kind gestures has gone a long way to alleviate the suffering of his constituents.
Also secretary to the organization Barr. Uche Konkwo, appreciated Hon. Crown for the remarkable feat he achieved in a short period he got elected into his position, pointing out that the Christmas largesse and empowerment packages in which over 300 constituents benefitted are indications that he cared for his people.
In passing a vote of confidence on the Legislator, the group pledged their unwavering support and urged him not to relent from using available opportunity to lobby for the interest of Ihitte/Uboma constituency on the floor of the house.
They further admonished the lawmaker to always consult stakeholders for opinion when stuck with critical challenges.
The group used the opportunity and appealed to Governor Hope Uzodinma to consider indigenes of Ihitte extraction for key positions in subsequent appointment, and as well suggested the need to create opportunity for employment of young graduates which they observed would reduce youth tendencies to engage in crime.
Responding to their submissions, Hon. Crown expressed gratitude to them for the words of admonition and regretted that all effort he made last year to attract development projects to the constituency were not totally achieved.
However, he urged them to be patient as he has perfected a robust plan to put smile on the faces of his constituents in the 2021 government programmes.
On appointment and employment, Crown drew attention of the group to the fact that the governor has assured Imolites that the present administration will not leave any part of the state behind in any of its programmes and projects, saying people should expect a better performance from the government this new year.
He solicited for their prayers and support for Hope Uzodinma led government to succeed toward its drive to build an enviable state that will be the dream of everyone to live in.
