Insecurity: IPOB launches eastern security outfit

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has said he has launched Eastern Security Network to tackle insecurity.

A statement by the Media/Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful, disclosed that the security outfit was talored after Amotekun and Miyetti Allah security outfits, explaining that it became important following the incessant killings across the country.

Powerful further explained that the newly launched security outfit would safeguard the forest and neighborhood in the old eastern region.

Recounting the recent killings by Fulani herdsmen and bandits across the Northern states, including, Kanu warned that on no account should any sitting governor or any Nigerian government official doubt the resolve of IPOB to secure the entirety of South East and South South against killers.

“Any attempt to jeopardize the lives of Biafrans will be resisted. “We have come to die for what we believe in, we have come that we may be free,” Kanu added.

The Founder, Radio Biafra also dispelled the assertion that the security network is Biafran Army.
He said; “the aim of launching Eastern Security Network (ESN) is to protect lives and property and to further ensure terrorists who had made their way into Nigeria, don’t have liberty to dwell in Biafra land.
