The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has given details of the first quarter of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) across the twenty three Local government Areas of Rivers State.
In a released from the office of Resident Electoral Commissioner, Obo Effanga on Thursday detailing the summary of the exercise, a total of forty-one thousand, one hundred and five persons were registered in the fresh exercise.
The summary further showed that Obio-Akpor Local Government Area has the highest number of three thousand, two hundred and twenty nine fresh registrants while Port Harcourt City, Asari Toru and Ogu-Bolo had above two thousand new registrants.
According to the information available to newsmen, the local government Areas with less than one thousand registrants includes Opobo Nkoro with five hundred and seventy-five while Ahoada West registered seven hundred and forty-nine while other local government had above one million registrants.
