Imo State government has announced the appointment of Mr Victor Nwaobia as the new Director of Pools, Betting and Gaming Commission in the state.
This announcement was communicated through two separate press releases by the Secretary to government of Imo State (SGI), Chief Cosmas Iwu and Special Adviser to the Governor on Pools, Betting and Gaming Commission, Chief Sam Ejiogu and made available to News Echo.
The Press release from office of the SGI and addressed to the new Director General read in part: “His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State has approved your appointment as Director General, Imo State Pools, Betting and Gaming Board.
“This appointment is with effect from 28th September, 2020. The terms and conditions will be communicated to you later”.
Meanwhile the information by the SA titled ‘public notice’ read:
“This is to inform everyone in Pools, Betting and Gaming business in the state that the Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved the appointment of Mr Victor Nwaobia as the Director General of Pools, Betting and Gaming Commission.
“Sequel to this, Mr Obiyor Ifeanyi seizes to be the Acting Director General of the commission,” the notice added.
