The Imo State chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has urged youths to imbibe the spirit of patriotism, godliness and productivity for viable social economic advancement of Imo State.
Speaking to journalists in Owerri on Saturday after monitoring the environmental sanitation exercise within Owerri Metropolis, the chairman of NYCN, Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka, said that when the youths live righteously, work effectively with cheerfulness and pray fervently they will always overcome obstacles while smoothly supporting government and their community leaders for even development, reminding them of the need to be good citizens and reliable ambassadors of humanity and peace.
He pointed out that the “National Youth Council of Nigeria under my leadership supports government of Imo State led by Governor Hope Uzodimma and other patriotic citizens to add to the sustenance of actual democracy and stabilize good governance with a view to creating sustainable development in the state”.
The legal luminary hinted that government is making good progress towards economic growth, adding that there is need for support and prayers by citizens particularly youths who he described as catalysts of positive societal change.
According to him, let Imo youths “pray for Imo, be good ambassadors, imbibe the spirit of reorientation and reconciliation while supporting the government of the day, obeying the traffic rules, remaining law abiding citizens. Just think Imo, dream Imo and work well to grow Imo. Share in the prosperity of Imo because Imo belongs to all of us. Believe in God who blesses Imo”.
