Lawmaker representing Njaba State Constituency in Imo Assembly, Uju Jovita Onwudiwe, has empowered some of her constituents with vehicles, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdressing equipments (dryer), wheelchair and rice through Igolo Njaba Foundation.
The gesture was done in commemoration of her 49th birthday anniversary held at Okudor Primary School on Sunday.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries who are mainly APC members and ardent supporters of her political course, Onwudiwe advised them to judiciously use the items to enhance their skills, businesses and activities while living successfully and happily.
The lawmaker mentioned that the gesture was done from her heart as the beneficiaries wholly supported her political ambition and worked hard to actualise it, promising to do more for the people of Njaba to encourage good living, peace and security at area.
Onwudiwe, who noted that she has sponsored people- oriented motions and bills in the assembly with a view to addressing mass-oriented issues, thanked God for offering her another golden opportunity to mark her birthday anniversary, appreciating those who came to celebrate with her.
The beneficiaries, who were filled with joy and gratitude, said they will use the items to enhance their skills, businesses and activities as well as help others to beat poverty and vulnerability, praying that God continues to strengthen Igolo Njaba to continue her good and quality representation.
Thus, the 9th Imo Assembly led by its Speaker, Paul Emeziem, felicitated with the donor on her birthday anniversary, commending her for empowering her constituents.
