Disabled persons in Imo State will soon be trained on skills that will enable them become self reliant.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Special Citizens, Dr. Samuelson Emehibe, during an interview with newsmen in his office in Owerri on Tuesday.

He noted that the persons with disabilities will be trained on sewing, barbing, hairdressing, farming, among others with thorough supervision by the state government and banks.

Emehibe maintained that arrangements have been concluded to give the disabled persons start-up capital to take off after the training.
He added that plans have been perfected to host the International Day for People with Disabilities, saying that the new leadership of Joint National Association of People With Disabilities is on ground to see to the success of the commemoration.

He urged Imo people to continue to support the government to recover and develop the state for the good of all persons.
