Imo Commissioner assures ICAPS of restoring glory

The new Commissioner for Science and Technology, Prof. B.G. Nworgu has assured the Imo College of Advanced Professional Studies (ICAPS) of restoring her past glory.
Nworgu stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to the staff of ICAPS. He noted that his predecessor appeared to have done a lot of ground work and promised to improve on the laudable projects and ideas initiated by the immediate past commissioner.

He stated that continuity in government is essential for any progressive minded administrator. “There ought not to be any form of discontinuity in government, adding that the idea of reinventing the wheel or starting on a clean slate should be jettisoned.

Nworgu tasked the heads of the various departments to come up with proposals on how to commercialize most of the products produced in the place and promised that he will ensure that all the necessary registrations and documentations needed to fast track the process is done speedily. He thanked those who were part of the ministry’s team at the just concluded 2021 Technology and Innovation Expo for making the state proud.

The commissioner equally met with staff members of Imo Job Centre and promised to revive the place and help them attain the lofty ideals for which they were created.
It will be recalled that the commissioner on assumption of office had solicited for the support of the staff and management of the ministry to help him achieve his vision of making the ministry the life wire of the state.
