Four days to his exit from the seat of power, Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has directed the sealing of Bakassi market in Enyimba city of Aba.
He directed the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mustapha Bala to seal of the market. The Governor gave the order in a release signed by the Secretary to his government, Barr Chris Ezem.
The release said that the attention of Abia State government had been drawn to unpatriotic and mischievous activities of some individuals in the Bakassi market which the government said, could affect the peace and harmony in the market.
The release further cautioned that the State government would not tolerate any action that may affect the transition program of the government. But the State government did not explain the nature of problems being caused by the said individuals.
