The Chairman / Chief Executive Officer of De – Majestic Garden Hotel, Chief Chukwuedozie Chinedu have advised government to improve on meaningful youth development programs.
Mr. Chukwuedozie made this known during the weekend at the opening ceremony of the multi-million naira executive hotel located along Ugwu Orji flyover in Owerri North Local Government Area, where he said that during their recruitment over 800 youths were seeking for only 40 vacancies in the hotel.
He explained that what the 800 job seekers means is that there is high rate of unemployment in the State and the entire nation, of which government is supposed to mop up this excess to prevent crime.
The Chairman / CEO maintained that they were able to employ 40 of the job seekers in order to assist in reduction of the rate of unemployment.
He added that they purposefully did the over employment in order to assist Governor Hope Uzodinma who is doing much to eradicate poverty in the state with Shared Prosperity Programs, and to empower Imolites.
Mr Chukwuedozie stated that he is overwhelmed with the 3Rs mantras of Imo government that is helping to provide infrastructures with the aim of making Imo one of the havens of tourism, consequently boosting its productivity.
He further said that De – Majestic Garden Hotel has come to give the people the best of hospitality and invites guests to take a trip to the garden and tell the story themselves.
