Ogonna Anyaehie, the last child of the late Sir John Anyaehie of Nnanano Nkwerre Dynasty, has promised to always enliven the legacy of her late eldest brother, His Royal Highness, Eze Ngozi Anyaehie, the traditional ruler of Nnanano Nkwerre autonomous community (Enyioha 1 of Nkwerre, Ogara Mba Chia Mba of Aba).

Ogonna stated this in her tribute to her late brother at their palatial home, Nnanano, Nkwerre Local Government Area, Imo State, during his funeral, Saturday.

Ogonna who saw death as a necessary end to all living beii, a mystery she said has no potency, expressed bitterness over her eldest brother’s demise.

“My eldest brother, HRH, Eze Ngozi Anyaehie, is still the head of Anyaehie’s family. Like they said, a King never dies. He was known for his friendliness, fairness, sense of diplomacy and decency. He was there for me, for all of us. When I was ten years old, he was always there for me, we had a very close relationship, as he guided me. In fact, he was part of what I am today”, Ogonna Anyaehie noted.

The 17th child of late Sir John Anyaehie said “death is, as you come, you go. In death, people decide for you. In life, you decide for yourself; you rule your destiny. I promise to always keep his legacy.

And we, as Anyaehie’s family, just as our late father and patriarch taught us, are going to remain peaceful, united and we will often cooperatively do things as usual. Our elder brother and Chief of Staff to Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, is also a man to reckon with”, Ogonna Anyaehie stressed.

While praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of Eze Ngozi Anyaehie in the bosom of the Almighty God Who she said knows why He took her eldest brother, Ogonna advised all humans to live godly, love and forgive one another so that they will live happily in a sane, calm and better society.

The funeral attracted Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prof Placid Njoku, Her Excellency, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, Members of Imo Assembly, government functionaries, (Sole Administrators) including MD of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie (Akuatuegwu), among others, who she thanked for coming to sympathise with the bereaved Anyaehie family.
