The CEO FINLAB Nigeria Limited, Chief Uzomba Nwaije, has given out entrepreneurship support to 122 indigenes from five communities in Orlu and Ideato North local Government Area of Imo State, as part of the celebration to mark the 40 years anniversary of his Company .
Addressing the beneficiaries at the company’s office in Owerri, Nwaije maintained that he remains grateful to God for his faithfulness and sustenance over 40 years of effective business despite the hardship and challenge in the country. So he thought it wise that instead of the usual ways of bringing people together to drink and be merry he decided to use the avenue to uplift those that are skill acquired but are not financially able to establish.
According to him the five communities involved are Umudioka Ukwu, Umuzike Community, Umudioka Community and Owerre Umudioka in Orlu LGA also Isiokpo Community in Ideato North LGA both in Imo State, he also affirmed that Isiokpo Community and Umudioka Ukwu got 100 thousand naira each while other communities some got below 100 thousand naira each.
The CEO affirmed that the loan is free and non refundable, that he is contributing his part to ensure that poverty is reduced amongst their people adding that whoever gets the stipend will never be poor in life as he described the money as a seed that if it is well sow will produce branches.
Meanwhile he urged them not to see it as free loan to play kalukalu (games) or to take care of unnecessary wants, saying that his joy can only be fulfilled seeing them succeed and seeing them helping others in years to come.
Also a guest speaker George Emetuche during his lecture enjoyed the beneficiaries to always be perseverance while pulsing their dream career and never to give up with the challenges that may face it because there are always ups and downs on the road to success.
The lecturer also remind them that the loan giving to them is not to offset bills but should be use to establish a new business while those who had already established business should expand to enable them become successful in their communities and the society at large.
Also chairman of the occasion, Rev. Canon Emmanuel Chika commended the CEO FINLAB for the kind gusture to smiles in some families especially this present time that the nation is experiencing serious economy crisis, he therefore urged them to utilize the money by investing it wisely and also told them to always pray for the CEO and the company for success, good health and more upliftment.
High point of the occasion was presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries and entertainment. Some of dignitaries who attended the ceremony are Imo State Commissioner for Education, BTO Ikegwuoha, and former Anglican Bishop of Orlu, Most Rev. Bennett Okoro.
