The immediate past Chief Photographer to the wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Ndidi Okoro and her 17-year-old daughter, Chisom have died in a road accident along Okagwe Afikpo road.
The late Ndidi Okoro and her daughter were among the eleven victims who died in the tragedy involving a 14-seater bus belonging to Abia Line Transport Network Company that somersaulted and was engulfed by flames.
She was taking her late daughter, Chisom to the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike in Ebonyi State when tragedy struck.
She was said to be heading to the Federal institution to process admission documents of her daughter before the accident occurred.
Ndidi, a household name in Abia State Government House was the Chief Photographer to Mrs. Odochi Orji, the wife of the former Governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji.
Ndidi also worked in the same capacity to Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, the wife of the present Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu until her transfer to another Ministry in the State’s civil service.
The confirmation of her death rocked the Abia State Government House as those who knew her, especially staff of the office of the First Lady broke down in tears.
Meanwhile, she was buried last Wednesday at her husband’s compound, Ndi Uche, Aro Ndiizuogu, Imo State after a funeral service by the Faith Chapel Church.
