Ebonyi State government has announced that all public and private schools in the state will resume on Monday (today) for normal academic activities.
A statement by the state Commissioner for Education, Dr Onyebuchi Chima, directed that teaching and learning shall commence immediately and Parents and Guardians are strongly encouraged to ensure that thier children are regularly in school.
The statement reads: “I have been directed by the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Engr Dr David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE to inform all Teachers, Head teachers, Parents/Guardians, Pupils/Students, of public and private Nursery, Primary, Secondary schools and Higher Institutions:
“That all schools in Ebonyi State shall resume on Monday 18th January 2021.
“That teaching and learning shall commence immediately and Parents and Guardians are strongly encouraged to ensure that their children are regularly in school”.
“That MOE, UBEB, SEB, SAs/State Officials on School Monitoring, EAs/STAs/TAs on Education are directed to immediately and vigorously engage in school monitoring to ensuring that quality teaching/learning and the observation of NCDC Covid19 Protocols are strictly being carried out in all the Ebonyi State Schools System”.
