There is apprehension in the delta house of Assembly following the death of the Majority leader, Sir Tim Kome Owhefere.
Owhefere, a four- time member of the House, was said to have died around 11pm on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba, after being hospital-ised for about two weeks.
Owhefere, who represented Isoko North Constituency until his death, hailed from Akiowhe community, in the council area.
His Media Aide, Palm-er Ogheneyole Nathaniel confirmed the development in a Facebook post where he drew several condolence messages.
The scare in the house was because Owhefere was said to have been on oxygen for a week before his death, fueling speculations that he might have died of COVID-19.
This speculation is said to be causing some ripples among members of the assembly as some colleagues who visited him at the hospital in Asaba where he was first admitted were apprehensive.
