The Anglican Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Geoffrey Ibeabuchi has called on organisers of EndSARS protests and security agencies to fish out the hoodlums who looted private and public properties across the country.
This is even as he condemned the use of live bullets on peaceful protesters in Lekki, Lagos and other towns by security agencies.
He made the call on Monday, while educating members of the Anglican Youth Fellowship, at St Stephen’s Cathedral, Umuahia, Abia State.
Bishop Ibeabuchi expressed worry that the hoodlums hijacked the protest, destroyed and looted private and government properties.
His words, “I must commend the youths of Nigeria for such a highly organized protests. The protesters had good intentions, but hoodlums hijacked the protest. This action is unacceptable”.
Bishop Ibeabuchi however pleaded with the organized protesters to sheath their swords, as their well articulated demands have gotten to the appropriate authorities and will be looked into.
