Atiku, Shehu Sani, Joke Silva, others mourn Sadiq Daba

Nigerian personalities like the former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Shehu Sani, veteran actress, Joke Silva, among many others, have taken to their social media accounts to mourn veteran actor, Sadiq Daba.

The actor died on Wednesday at about 8: 30 pm. According to his close friend, Joe Odumakin, the actor had been ill for a while before his demise.
Former Vice-President Atiku thanked the late actor for the joy he brought into homes.

“Sad that the cock will no longer crow at dawn. Sadiq Daba, thank you for the joy you brought into our homes. May your sins be forgiven, and your memories be a blessing,” he wrote.
A former senator, Shehu Sani, wrote on Twitter, “Sadiq Daba; the last sticker he sent to my inbox. He has been through a long journey of life. An ace presenter and actor from a generation of morally upright TV professionals.May Allah grant him Aljanna firdausi. Amin.”
Also, Nigerian celebrities have taken to their social media accounts to mourn the actor. Veteran actress, Joke Silva, via her Instagram handle, posted a picture she took of Daba, and in the caption section, she simply wrote, “Uncle Sadiq you had a good run. I thank God that you worked till the end. Rest well dear friend. Rest well.”

Ace actor, Kunle Afolyan, known to be fond of the late actor as he had featured him in some of his blockbuster movies like October 1 and Citation, took to his Instagram to mourn Daba.
Sharing a picture he took with the late actor, Afolayan captioned the photo, “You will be missed ‘Uncle S’. You made your mark. Orun re.”
Also, popular actor, Yomi Fash-Lanso, stated that he was glad to be one of the actors that worked with Daba while he was alive.

Fash-Lanso posted a picture of the veteran actor with the caption, “I’m so happy I belonged to the set of actors that knew you, worked with you, ate with you, wined and cracked jokes with you. Your sense of humour and deep knowledge was always magnetic.
“You were an embodiment of total art and freedom. Your light always shone through whenever you were around. Rest peacefully well Egbon Sadiq Daba. You will be greatly missed.”
